Having gone through a fair share of rough experiences in her life, Ashna found solace, strength, and inspiration in yoga and meditation. For her, it is not about what we do on the mat, but rather what we learn and incorporate in our daily life. Having recognised the potency of the ancient Indian wisdom and its healing quality, it has been her deepest desire to share it with everyone.
Ashna is a yoga practitioner, Vipassana meditator, certified pranic and reiki healer. Her journey into yoga started a few years ago after a serious weightlifting accident. She was deadlifting 140 pounds at that time, suffered from scoliosis and was told by doctors she would not be able to move for a year. That was a severe setback for a fitness enthusiast like her. After months of darkness and hopelessness, she eventually found a new light through yoga. Regular basic asanas, meditation, pranayama, and self-reflection, together with an intense desire to improve her condition, contributed to her making remarkable progress within six months' time. Sooner than expected, she went back to running and trained for advanced functional workouts again. As she recalls, her recovery was a hard journey both physically and mentally; however, the practice of meditation and asana made it much easier.
Yoga and meditation have been the most important pillars in her life which she uses on a daily basis. As she shares openly, she owes her life to these practices as they helped her get through her darkest times. She truly believes that the ancient Indian wisdom can help everyone heal, thrive, and improve the quality of their lives; and thus her deepest desire is to share the therapeutic aspect of yoga with others.
